TDR Call for Applications: Postgraduate Training Scheme
The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) with the support of the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs (Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs) of the Government of Luxembourg, is pleased to announce a call for applications from universities in the Directorate’s French-speaking partner countries in West Africa (Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Senegal).
One university will be selected to participate in the TDR Postgraduate Training Scheme and serve as a sub-Regional Training Centre supported by TDR.
TDR supports low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to strengthen capacity for health research through a range of activities, including its Postgraduate Training Scheme and Regional Training Centres. The main focus is strengthening individual and institutional capacity for implementation research (IR) so as to better understand how to implement health interventions aimed at decreasing the burden of infectious diseases of poverty, including neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), malaria and tuberculosis, in contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The university must meet these two eligibility criteria:
- Be a recognized university in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger or Senegal.
- Have an accredited MPH programme offered to both national and international candidates from French-speaking countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
